Babies and children are always welcome in worship!
Sunday School: Our Sunday School program takes place right after children's time in the worship service. The curriculum includes Bible stories, hands-on crafts, a Bible verse and a snack. We also include drama activities with some of the stories. This is appropriate for children 5 years old through fifth grade.
Youth: Youth grades 5th-12th are invited to participate in quarterly youth events gathered with other UMC youth in Southern Arizona. We also have opportunities for participation in summer and winter camp at Mingus Mountain in Prescott National Forest. We welcome youth of all faith backgrounds and no faith background, and with all gender expressions.

Youth Confirmation Camp at Mingus Mountain May 2-4, 2025
Join us for a Confirmation Camp at Mingus Mountain! This will be an Intensive Confirmation class led by the Rev. Melissa Rynders, which will cover a full confirmation curriculum and provide students with what is needed to join a local church.
Initial registration and deposits are due by March 7 with final documentation and payment due by April 4. The cost is $175 per person (scholarships available) and will include all meals for Saturday and Sunday breakfast, extra snacks and drinks, and the High and Low Course offerings of Mingus Mountain. You will be able to choose from two of the following activities: Climbing Wall, Verticle Play Pen, Zipline, or Leap of Faith.
Youth will be confirmed during worship at SCVUMC on May 18.
