New Here?

Santa Cruz Valley United Methodist Church is a welcoming church that looks forward to meeting you.  Our 9 a.m. worship is a blend of contemporary and traditional music and liturgy and includes scripture reading, a relevant message and private and corporate prayer.  Children are welcome to participate in worship as they learn and grow in their faith.  Following our children sermon, we invite the children to be excused to participate in the Sunday school program designed for their age level.

Our nursery offers care for birth to age 3 or you are welcome to keep your children in the sanctuary with you.  We have a “Pray-Ground” to the right once you enter the worship space where children can be most comfortable, whether it’s quietly coloring, crawling on one of the area rugs or snuggling with a parent or grandparent on one of the large pillows.  The space is designed for those parents and children who wish to stay close.

We offer communion on the first Sunday of each month.  In the United Methodist tradition, everyone is welcome to receive the sacrament of communion.  Following the liturgy everyone is invited to come forward to receive the holy meal – you will be given a piece of bread, representing Christ’s body and will dip it into the cup of juice, representing Christ’s blood.  You are invited to receive both communion elements together.  We serve juice out of respect for those with addictions.

We believe that everyone has a calling and at Santa Cruz Valley UMC we encourage everyone to discover their gifts and find ways to utilize them as they serve God and serve our community.  There are many opportunities and you are invited to read through our website to discover those areas where you might be called to serve.
