Announcements

CARING HANDS is a ministry for church family members.  If you would like to be part of this, or if you know of someone who could use a few meals or other assistance due to illness, surgery, new baby, etc., please call Lynda Ashcraft at 207-0962. For the summer months, call Carmen Hemperley at 625-3061.

ADOPT-A-ROADWAY is a community service and part of the mission work of SCVUMC.  A few hours of time makes a big difference in our area! Volunteers meet at the One Stop Market on Sahuarita Rd and Nogales Hwy. Wear sturdy shoes and bring gloves (and a pickup stick if you have one). Call Lynda Ashcraft (207-0962) with any questions. Watch the bulletin for the next clean-up date.

JOIN THE CHURCH: Are you interested in becoming a member of Santa Cruz Valley Church? Just contact Pastor Mark (331-2450 or email), or see him at church. He will set up a time to visit with you and answer all your questions.

ANOINTING SERVICE: On the third Sunday each month after worship, an anointing service will be available. This will be a quiet time where you may respond to be anointed. You may use this time of anointing for yourself or on behalf of another person. While you may want to be anointed for healing, that is only a part of an anointing service. You can be anointed for anything God is placing on your heart. This is also a time to affirm your commitment to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and to agree to be in harmony with God's will in your life.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH - LIONS RECYCLING CENTER - (across from the GV Library)is open 8:30 - 11:30 AM, Monday through Saturday. It's a good place to drop off newspapers, magazines, aluminum cans and phone books. Green Valley Lions recycle funds from the sale of such items back to the community. It is worth the effort.

EASTER EGG HUNT - Sunday April 4 - right after the Easter worship service. Please drop off plastic eggs, candy, prizes, stickers, anything the children would enjoy finding tucked away in their special egg by March 21. Volunteers are also needed to help fill the eggs before Easter Sunday.

GV WOMEN'S CHRISTIAN CONNECTIONS - presents "Blossoms and Baseball" (it must be Spring!) on March 17 from 11:45am to 1:30pm. This event will be held at the GV Elks Lodge, 2951 S. Camino Mercado (behind Presbyterian Church). Cost is $14 inclusive. Floral arrangements by Sam Hinkley of GV Flowers and Gifts. Reservations are necessary; call Suzy at 625-9882 by March 10, or email jlevi2@cox.net.
